Pagination
When a collection has more products than fit on one page, pagination decides how customers see the rest: numbered pages, a Show more button, or more products loading as they scroll.
Find these in the theme editor under Theme settings > Pagination. The style applies to collection pages, search results, blogs, the collections list and article comments.
Choose a style
| Style | How it works | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Numbered pages with next and previous links. | Big catalogs, and customers who like to jump to a page. |
| Show more | A button under the products loads the next batch onto the same page. This is the default. | Most stores. |
| Infinite scroll | The next batch loads as customers reach the bottom. | Browsing-led stores with lots of visual products. |

Settings
- Pagination border: show or hide the border around page numbers. Standard style only.
- Pagination size: 2XS to L.
- Color scheme: the colors of the page numbers. Standard style only.
How many items load at a time is set where the list is: Products per page on the collection template, and Items per page on the search template. See Collection page.
Pagination and search engines
Every style keeps proper page links underneath, so search engines can still find products beyond the first page. Even so, the products you most want found should be in collections that are linked from your menu, and near the top of those collections.
Common questions
Does Ignite support infinite scroll?
Yes. Set Theme settings > Pagination > Style to Infinite scroll.
Which pagination style is best?
Show more, the default, suits most stores. Customers stay in control and can still reach the footer. Numbered pages suit big catalogs where customers jump around.
How many products show on each page?
Set Products per page in the Product grid section of the collection template, from 8 to 48.
