Section tabs
Section tabs turns the sections that follow it into tabs, so customers can switch between them in one place. Show the same product in two colors, or bestsellers and new arrivals, without a long page.
Add tabs
- Add the sections you want as tabs, one after another.
- Add a Section tabs section directly above them.
- Set Create tabs for the next X sections to 2, 3 or 4.
- Type a title for each tab in Tab 1 title to Tab 4 title.
- Choose a Tab style, Simple or Switch, and click Save.
Getting it right
- Keep the tabbed sections a similar height, so the page doesn’t jump when customers switch tabs.
- Use the same kind of section in each tab, such as two image banners or two featured collections, so the switch feels natural.
- Keep tab titles to one or two words.
The Section tabs section can also have its own heading and description above the tabs, and a color scheme.

How do I put sections in tabs in Shopify with Ignite?
Add a Section tabs section above the sections you want to tab, choose how many of the following sections become tabs (2 to 4), and give each tab a title.
Why aren’t my section tabs working?
Every tabbed section must have Show on set to Both, and the tabbed sections must come straight after the Section tabs section.
