Ribbon banner

The Ribbon Banner section in the Ignite theme offers a distinctive way to draw attention to special announcements, promotions, calls to action or any horizontally aligned content.

This section is designed to stand out visually, making it ideal for highlighting important information that you want your customers to notice immediately upon visiting your store.

Content within the Ribbon Banner section will always be aligned horizontally.

Setting Up the Ribbon Banner Section

1. Navigate to the Theme Editor: From your Shopify admin dashboard, go to Online Store and click on Themes. Find the Ignite theme and click Customize.
2. Add the Ribbon Banner Section: In the theme customization sidebar, click on Add section. Scroll to find the Ribbon Banner option and click on it.
3. Add blocks: Enter the text for your banner in the provided blocks.
   
   This could be anything from “Free shipping on orders over $50” to “20% off this weekend only”. Additionally, you can add a link to direct customers to a specific page or product when they click on the banner.
4. Close button: The ribbon banner can have a close X button. Once clicked, your customers will not see this banner again.
5. Choose the Color Scheme: Select the scheme that you wish to use or alternatively, set up another one in Theme settings > Colors. When selecting the color scheme, consider using one that has bold or contrasting colors to make the announcement pop and really catch the eye of customers.
6. Set Content Alignment: Adjust the alignment within the banner. You can align your content to the left, center, or right depending on your visual preference and the layout of your store.
7. Preview Your Changes: Utilize the live preview feature within the theme editor to see how the ribbon banner will look on your site. Make adjustments as needed to ensure it fits well with your store’s design.
8. Save Your Settings: Once you are satisfied with the appearance and settings of your ribbon banner, click Save to apply the changes to your live store.

The Ribbon Banner is an effective tool to communicate promotions or important announcements. Make sure to update or remove the banner as necessary to keep your site content fresh and relevant.
